Environmental Impact Statement
As part of the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP), the Navy is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to evaluate the potential environmental impacts of constructing the Multi-Mission Dry Dock. The Navy released the Draft EIS in July 2025. The Navy will release the Final EIS in advance of the project’s Record of Decision, which is anticipated in late 2026.
